Located at Mile 922 just off the Mississippi River in Hickman, Kentucky, with several acres of water frontage both within the harbor limits and along the river. The Harbor is named for native Elvis Stahr who was the Secretary of the Army under President John F. Kennedy during the Bay of Pigs Invasion and Cuban missile crisis. Stahr also was the President of the National Audubon Society, along with serving as President of West Virginia University and the University of Indiana. He was a Rhodes Scholar who is now buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
